WorkSafe Victoria is a Victorian Government organisation that serves as the regulatory body for the Victorian Workcover Authority. Their agents, which are usually insurance companies, provide funding for services for injured workers with a worker’s compensation claim. This includes psychological services.
Psych Point can provide services to those with workers’ compensation claims under the auspices of WorkSafe Victoria. Psych Point’s telehealth psychological treatment services can be accessed anywhere in Victoria. This may be convenient for injured workers with mobility issues or living in remote areas.
To be referred to a Psych Point psychologist under funding from an existing worker’s compensation claim with WorkSafe Victoria, there are a few steps that need to be followed:
- The first step is to consult your treating doctor, who will assess your needs and determine whether psychological services are appropriate.
- If your doctor determines that psychological services are needed, they will refer you to a psychologist. This referral will need to be approved by your workers’ compensation insurer.
- Complete our online intake form and book your first session.
